Sophie
Jones
Sophie has a primary teaching background, is a Forest School practitioner, beekeeper and creative.
She brings an empathetic ear, combined with a love of learning, cooking, teaching and finds most joy seeing children flourish in the calm of nature.

A day with us looks like:
Our staff will wait at the gate and greet everyone on arrival, ringing the bell to welcome the session.
We begin the day gathering material to start our fire after lighting, we sit together and check in.
Then we demonstrate our activity. This could be anything from making fishing spears to tripod stools.
Our groups love cooking at the campfire, so we always make sure we have something delicious bubbling on the fire grate.
We include a mindfulness session too, the woods makes for very focused, creative and peaceful young people, with a deeper connection to nature, away from digital life.
Our Site
Our woodland is a private, secure site set within the historic Carclew Estate, offering a peaceful and protected environment away from public footpaths and through-traffic.
Surrounded by established trees and rich natural heritage, the space provides a sense of seclusion and safety that allows people to relax, explore, and fully engage with activities without interruption.
Being part of the Carclew Estate connects our sessions to a thorough social and environmental history, while ensuring a calm, well-managed woodland setting that feels special, grounded, and cared for.
*Please note, we share our location at time of booking, this is to ensure the privacy & safety of our site*
